Government destroying the middle class

The plan of the government is to destroy the middle class in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. So that all citizen will find it necessary to depend on them.
This according to parliamentary representative for South Leeward, Honourable Nigel Stevenson while making his presentation on the New Times Program.

Stephenson, who was very passionate in making his comments, said the middle class is virtually non-existent now in this country, as one group of people are getting richer while the rest are poor, with no in between.

He noted that there is a large number of Vincentians who are in a dire financial situation, and this shows no sign of improving under this current administration.

Stevenson said there are fundamental errors with the way this country is being governed, and chastised the government for not being able to create jobs for the working population of SVG.

He explained that the government creates most of their income by taxation, which means the less citizen who are employed, is the less money made through taxes.
